Super Size Me

For the last two days ago, my English 10 teacher put on a video for us to watch. It was no ordinary video. The video is about a guy eating nothing, but fast food.He had some rules too. He can only supersize is food is only when they ask him that do he want to super size it. He cannot eat anything else, but Mc Donald's foods. In like a week, he gained more than 10 pounds already, by eating Mc Donald's food. The main point of doing this video/movie is to prove that eating Mc Donald is not healthy, and you can get fat by eating it. You can also get sick by eating fast food too. You can get massive heart attack, stroke, or high sugar blood. You can actually die from eating fast food. Later on the company was sued by two women, because they said that they got fat from eating their food. The company didn't have any victims or evidence to prove that their food was healthy, so then the company go sued. As for me, I'm done eating super sizing meals.

Why Are We Fat?

It hasn't been long since my English teacher gave us our magazine about America getting fat. We have been learning why America is getting fat. I'm pretty sure that the reason why they are getting fat, is because of fast food restaurant. Their food are not healthy at all. Hamburgers, Tacos, Hot dogs, Pizzas, and Sodas have allot of calories if eaten together. Everyone should have at least 2000 calories a day, but people that eats fast food gets more than 4000 calories a day. That is a BIG problem. Kids are eating McDonald more than ever now, because their prices are low and their food are good, but not healthy.
A mother have a child that weighs over 400 pounds and is around 3 or 4 years old. She also said that, " I thought that McDonald's food were good for my kids. " Right after i read the article, I felt bad for the kid that weight over 4oo pounds, because as I study,being chubby ain't good for your health. You can die from heart attack, stroke, or high sugar blood. After reading this do you think that you should stop eating fast food? I know I am. Are you?

My Star Graphic

Last couple weeks ago, my English 10 teacher told us to make a star graphic. At first I didn't really even know what the heck is it, but later on when he explain it, I finally understand what to do. A start graphic is a star that have five things that you cherish or love the most.

The first star that I love the most is about cooking. I love to cook. When I was about 4 years old, I would watched my older sister cooking my mom and dad's lunch. I thought one day that I would cook a meal for them, and I did. It was November and the day of Thanksgiving. I told my older sister that I wanted to cook for mom and dad and the family. She gave me a hand and helped out. We than took out a turkey and started cooking it. After it was ready and cooled down, my older sister and I ripped the meat into pieces and put in some herb and olive oil. It turns out that we made a turkey salad.

The second star that I love is playing my flute. Its no ordinary flute that you can play at the orchestra. Its a magical flute that can reach into the spirit world. My friend made fun of me sometimes, because I play the flute. I told my dad that they were teasing me about the flute and that I want to quit. My dad told me ignore them and that they think they're too cool to actually try learning the magical flute, because the flute can be only played by people who are committed to blowing it, and I did. Its been 7 years now that I've been playing the flute, and guess what, I love it.

The third star is what I cherished the most. What I cherished the most is dancing. I haven't been dancing since I got to high school. I saw allot of different types of dancing, and what I like the most is hip hopping, and break dancing. When I first try hip hop, I was stiff and slow, but then later on I got way better, and so as break dance. I tried to put my skills on a test and joined Master Peace and Optical Illusion. I got in both team and i was proud of myself.

The 4th star was hard and difficult, but then it turns out being worth it. The 4th star is working. Since I'm not 16 yet and still not legal working at fast food restaurant yet, I go around to my neighbors house and ask them if I can clean their front and back yard for like 20 bucks. Cleaning my neighbor's lawn is the only choice I have to make money over the summer. It was hard, hot, and messy, but then I made allot in one summer.

Last, but least, my 5th star. What I like about my 5th star is that I love to draw. I have been drawing since I was in the 3rd grade. Its like my 3rd star. At first it was hard, but at the end it was all worth doing the work. Every year i get better and better, and by the time I was in 8th grade, I won the school's year book cover picture. I know I have been saying this allot, but it was all worth it.

What's Florin High School?

What is Florin High School? Florin High School is a High School for teenage kids like us. Florin can be found in the Elk Grove District or can be found in Cottonwood Way. Florin is a fun place to go test your skills. Like if you're a sporty type person, you can try-out for the basketball team, volley ball team, or the baseball team, etc. What if you're kind of smart. Well there is a perfect place for you to test it. 

Like being a member of Florin's very own Mathletes. Lastly if you're a type of person who

 loves to do fun activities, you can join some of Florin's clubs. Like Bahai Club, Asian Club, Indian CLub, Optical Illusion Club, or Japanese Club, etc. And don't think that this is all of the fun. There are very cool teachers and advisors that works at Florin High. My two personally favorites have to be Mrs. Bascom and Mrs. Escobar. I learned allot of stuff  from them in my freshmen year, and I wont regret it.

So after reading this, do you finally understand how fun Florin High can be if you can just get involve. Well think about it, but for me I will just say,"Man, I wanna go to Florin HIgh School!"
